Hi Ferdie! Good luck on your travel to Auckland! My wife and I will be flying in there soon! Smile

I hope somebody who already has the experience of bringing in pirated CDs or any office documents will share their input, I really would like to bring in MP3s of pinoy songs to lessen the feeling of home sickness... Smile

u can bring anything. they won't check unless u have foods with u. they r strict on the foods. as much as possible, place all ur food on 1 bag only and all ur pirated things on another bag so they will open only the bag with foods.

Hello AKL,

Mahigpit din ba sila sa mga de lata?

Saka baka may idea ka kung malaki ang duties na babayaran sa mga ipapaship na gamit at pagkain. Ang mahal kasi pag door to door, baka kami na ang magclear sa customs.

fsdasigao,

Hi! Just want to ask if how did you get a job offer from ASB. I have been receiving list of job vacancies everyday from this agency; however; I tried to ignore it because every time I applied for a certain position, I always got the same reply. (they proferred applicants with local experience or already in NZ.)

they are not strict with canned goods. just make sure that it is not a competitor of their products. for instance, you can't bring argentina corned beef or nestle fresh milk here. however, if you have a baby, you can bring his/her milk. they are strict on chinese-looking people.

regarding your door-to-door stuff, you need not pay any duties or taxes. i have no idea on the cost of shipping goods using a 1 x 20' container.

Any advice?!

And if u will allow me, i wish to get and keep in touch with u at ur email add.

U must be busy right now with ur new job, but i'l appreciate it if u wud at ur spare time..

Thank u so much for all ur messages, all inspiring and encouraging!.. In fact, at those times u shud b d 1 to be encouraged but u urself is d 1 who encouraged others, so wonderful of u, jpe!

May our heavenly father always guide u and bless all ur endeavors.

Hi Jpe,

I am new here. Awesome journey, belib ako sa pinag daanan mo. Hapi to here you already got a job. I am also planning to migrate NZ if given the opportunity. I already have submitted all the requirements just waiting for the feedback. Same with you, wala din akong kakilala sa NZ and i am going on my own...super scared nga ako.....lalo na when i read your tesitimony... i dont think i am as strong as you are.

I am an IT grad and i didnt really persue that field. Only practice it before, when i set-up and automated a system for a co., pero i just got a software and applied it to the co., i am not sure what kind of work there is for me there. Please help any suggestion?

Also when you get a WTR, dont they give you a time frame to get a PERMANENT job in NZ. If you don't get a job they will send you home? am i right?

Thanks for your posting ...really helped us a lot.
May the Lord continue to guide you.

my email is cot83177@yahoo.com....hope to hear from you.

Thanks a lot
