Hi kate & all,

Ok yung package ng travel agency na binigay ni Mrs. Allan, sulit na yun.

ok din ang Pirko & Troy, owner is Butch Alcantara. We've had a number of transactions with them since they give good service and because they do pick-up & delivery service within mandaluyong, ortigas & pasig area (not sure of other locations).

To get the best deal, what I do is I quote the lowest offer of other travel agencies and let him match it.

Pirko & Troy : 6888846, 6888658, 6872694
office: Unit 210 Megaplaza, Ortigas Center (back of Robinsons Galleria)

regards, Fish

Hi Ms. Kate!
Tanong ko lang po kung kelan ang sked ng interview niyo sa Bangkok? May idea ka ba kung hanggang kelan sila magi-stop ng interview for this year at kung kelan nila ire-resume next year?

To all who have passed their ITAs or are going to pass ITAs,

I recommend at this stage you now start looking for different travel agents offering competitive travel packages to Bangkok or China so you can choose immediately whom to pick once you are invited for the interview.

I did not have the convenience of looking for several travel agencies since the invitation for the interview came oh so suddenly. This way you'll not spend to much for that 30mins to 1 hr interview! Also, I heard that BKK backlog has now eased with Shanghai helping so anticipate that your applications will now be processed faster. Good luck to us all!

hi all,

I am now getting ready for the big interview next tuesday in BKK. Shocked

I only have USD100 as pocket money....will this suffice? Does anybody know if you can exchange Peso to baht in thailand? Also, I heard that the exchange rates in Thailand are pretty bad. Can you pls advise what to do so I won't get scammed. This is the first time I'll visit BKK. thanks!

kirk,

been to bangkok last year for a holiday.

$100 is enough if you'll stay there for two days provided di ka na mamamasyal at pre-paid na yung hotel mo. yung pagkain sa fast food nila ay halos pareho halaga dyan sa atin. $100 is equivalent to around 4,100 baht, so parang nasa manila ka na may 5,000 pesos.

enjoy your trip..

Hi Kirk! Tanong lang po, I'm planning to submit my ITA last wk of October.
1. Is it possible that my interview date will fall on Nov-Jan?
2. My VO is from Beijing. Does this mean that I will be interviewed in China and not in Bangkok? I've read kasi from their website that all interviews will be made in Bangkok.
Hope you could help me on this. Thanks.

Regards,

hi sara,

I am not sure about the answer but I think it'll mostly depend on how easy it will be for them to verify that your docs are genuine...whether you've made any false or misleading statements that need further verification. This additional verification will be the cause of delays. in your case, if you're confident that all of your evidences are in order, you may get the notice in 2 weeks or a month's time.

In my case, it took only 16 days from lodgement to being invited for interview. So I guess they have no questions with the evidence I submitted.

It also pays to organize your documents very well...Assume that the VO is very, very busy...how will you organize your docs to ensure that your VO will know what docs ata glance he's looking at once he picks your docs. what i did was to include a summary list of the docs as well as section headers. once the VO picks up the evidences for that section, he'll know at a glance what he's looking at.

I am not sure if there are interviews held in china. hope this helps.

Hi sarah,

Wala pa akong interview date, just preparing for the future.

regards,
Kate

Hi Kate,

Nung ininterview kami, our vo was from NZIS Beijing but the interview was still held at Bangkok. If your ITA vo is from nzis bangkok, the interview will be held at M Thai tower All Seasons Place. But if your ITA vo is from nzis beijing, the interview will be conducted at CRC Tower All Seasons Place. Ewan ko lang kung ang ITA vo mo is from nzis shanghai, malamang Bangkok din kasi bakit naman iibahin pa nila ang sistema nila sa pagi-interview at this point in time, di ba mas lalo pang gugugulo at magiging mas matrabaho para sa kanila kung babaguhin nila, pero may bali-balita in another thread here sa backpack na baka daw dito na sa Manila gawin ang interview but i guess that remains to be seen. You can exchange us$ to baht sa Golden Buddha Temple, may money exchange doon at maganda ang palitan doon kesa sa airport ka magpapapalit(by the way, you can get free map sa bangkok airport). Kung sa Golden Sky travel and tours ka, yung halfday city tour nila ang first stop ay sa Golden Buddha temple. Nung interview namin kasi, dumating kami Bangkok 2am and the city tour was around 8am so hindi na kami nangailangan ng baht kaagad kasi pagdating namin natulog lang kami at nung kinaumagahan may free breakfast naman sa First House Hotel kaya pagdating namin Golden Buddha Temple doon na lang kami nagpapalit ng pera. This may not work for you kasi maaring mangailangan ka kaagad ng baht kung hindi naman madaling araw ang dating mo sa Bangkok, so pwede ka muna magpa-exchange sa airport ng maliit lang muna just for your immediate needs.
Try to get a flight sched na ang dating mo ng Bangkok will be a day or two earlier from the interview date para may time ka mag-prepare o magreview for the interview. These will be the probable scenarios kung Golden Sky travel ang package na kukunin mo. Again, Goodluck!

Mrs.Allan

hi all,

my interview is at 3 pm pa. I'm just curious about the half day city tour. Would anybody know if the they schedule the AM tour so that I'll still get enough time to get to the embassy at 3pm. I'd just like to get my pesoseses worth to get to BKK. P20K din yun ah kaysa naman tumambay lang hotel.

Thanks,
