I will be arriving into Christchurch from LAX on December 14. After spending one night there, I'm going on a circle tour of the South Island until December 27, at which point I'm hopping across the Tasman for a few weeks in Australia.

The route I'm taking will roughly parallel the Christchurch-Milford Sound-Christchurch driving route at newzealand.com. I'm renting a fairly well-equipped Land Cruiser, so I'm hoping to explore some of the more difficult-to-reach regions.

If anybody is interesting at meeting up for a tramp along the way, just shoot me an e-mail at bretterkman-(at)-gmail.com. As far as personal background is concerned, I'm just a 23 year old guy from Chicago who is looking forward to spending a good month away from the dreary winters around here, not to mention work and school and all that lovely stuff =)
