A few of friends and I will be backpacking in New Zealand from mid September to mid October later this year. I was hoping to get some suggestions on which tracks we should look at doing that will be suitable for this time of year? We looked at Milford but gather it's quite dangerous at the time we'll be visiting, so thought about Routeburn as a possible alternative? Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions!
