Hey all, keen to hear some opinions on whether it is more suitable to buy an alpine or tramping pack when my budget can only afford one pack for both activities. Suggestions greatly appreciated!

I have always used alpine bags for tramping (currently have a fairydown Terra Nova), I just find them more comfortable, long and slim, easier to keep waterproof as it has less pockets/zips and everything is in the one compartment also easier if you have to go bush bashing as tramping packs get snagged more.
