Hey Guys,

I'm looking to do some hiking north of Auckland any good ones you know of. Where else should I go, I have about 10 days, any suggestion would be awsome!

Thanx

There's not many long hikes as such in Northland. If you have a tent the Cape Reinga Walkway is supposably good. It's an easy 3 day track starting at Ninety Mile Beach and finishing at Kapowairau. Transport can be a problem though. You will need to get a tour bus to drop you off at the start of the track (Te Paki Steam at Ninety Mile Beach) and then walk the 16km to Waitiki Landing from Kapowairau.

have a look at http://www.doc.govt.nz/Community/004~New-Zealand-Conservation-Authority-and-Boards/NZCA/New-Zealands-Walkways/010~Northland.asp

You could also go to Great Barrier Island http://www.greatbarrier.co.nz/articles/Tramping%20On%20Great%20Barrier%20Island.htm
