Hi, this is Andy, I'm 22 from Penn State in the US. I'll be in NZ from mid-Dec to the end of Jan. I'd like to charter a 28' sailboat in the Marlborough Sounds and need some people to come along to help sail the boat and defray the cost. I chartered this same boat two years ago while I was there doing a study abroad. It would sleep 4 people comfortably. I have extensive sailing experience and currently work aboard a 74' schooner in Annapolis, MD. You don't need any experience, I can teach you, if you want to come on an awesome, unique adventure, let me know. Contact andy.schell.at.mac.com and we can chat. No definite dates, but probably after New Years.
Cheers,
Andy |

Dear Andy,
Good to hear from your plans, I also hired a boat some years ago in the sounds.
This jan I go again for fishing-golfing, etc. and visiting a friend in Matamata for 6 weeks.
Maybe you feel for a first appmnt. to see each other somewhere 1st week of jan in Matamata (50 km east of Hamilton).
My NZ-friend has appx same plans as yourself, and we are both well experienced NZ - sailors-fishermen
Regards,
Alexander, from NL |
